Sewing: Tools and Cutlery Pouch
I received my big sewing package yesterday and wanted to try out my new sewing tools. They really made a HUGE difference and it’s so much easier to measure and cut the fabric! The long, transparent ruler is definitely a must, combining with the A5 cutter mat. I like those small clips too - much quicker to pin two pieces of fabrics when I don’t really need the “pin”. The scissor/shear made in Taiwan is extremely sharp - I’ll say it’s sharper than my Singer.
I made a cutlery pouch quickly (well…not that quick as I’m still a slow sewist). I changed new needle and the upgraded version of presser foot. Not sure if it made any difference but I guess we will see in the long term. The FO is a bit short and can barely fit in my mini fork, which surprised me because I sized down based on ratio. Perhaps somewhere went wrong. Anyways the side seam were also not equal for all pieces so it’s definitely not perfect, so I’ll probably make a new one some time later.
