Gradient sweater

Colour

I knit a swatch to test the gradient/faded combo for my next sweater. The good news is that they goes well and has the depth I’m looking for. The bad news is that I still don’t like the first variegated cream-pinky-blue yarn, somehow it feels off as it has too much blue on it.

At the end, I decided to use my LBA stash, which is a greyish hand dyed with subtle lilac undertone. I only have 30g so I’ll use this as the neckline only.

Pattern

I also changed my mind about pattern. Originally I planned to use Big in Japan, it looks simple but somehow the fitting in all FOs doesn’t seem very attractive too me. The boat neck doesn’t look very polished either. So I’m switching to Spector, a design that’s specifically for multi-colour yarn. In the pattern page, the textured yoke is not obvious due to the chosen speckled colour, but with my tonal pink yarn, it should be more prominent.
