Knitting workshop

Completed my first knitting workshop! It went very well - I was able to teach everyone cast-on, both knit and purl stitch, and bind off. Teaching purl might be a bit too much for absolute beginners, but I really want to get touch on the stockinette stitch to show them the connection between what we are working on vs a real sweater. In addition, it’s a good opportunity to introduce RS and WS.

In terms of take-away, I’m thinking maybe 6 ppls are too much? Thankfully one of them has learned knitting long time ago and was able to pick up very quickly by muscle memory. One thing I’m worried about is that student might feel a bit impatient to wait me to teach them 1-1. Overall I think the way of my teaching should be alright - by rotating each person I can make sure every body is on the same page. Some people learned quickly while some are a bit slower, which is expected. One thing I learned today is that there are indeed people who will benefit from in-person teaching and debug issues that they could not figure it out by themselves.
