Finished dividing sleeves and body today, and turned inside out to start the body. It was funny because yesterday I messed up - instead of putting sleeve stitches on hold and then cast on mid-row for the body, I somehow WORKED the sleeve stitch before the armpit cast on, resulting a big hole in the armhole. Thankfully, even I wasn’t in a clear mind of state, my instinct told me something was wrong. I went to bed after and read the pattern again this morning, and realized my mistake 😂 Well I guess the take away is do not knit the important section when you are not fully awake.

For the faded colour, when knitting the short row section it’s a bit confusing how to manage it, because I was half way of fading when doing short rows, but it was impossible to do the regular switch between two colour. So I ended up just go with the flow and use whatever colour came to my hand when it seems make sense. The end result is not bad! I’m glad. I think one of the main reason they worked so well is that the two colours (pink and light purple) are in closer chroma range and they are in the similar value, so it blends nicely.
